Ten years ago,
The Center for Socially Responsible Business (CSRB) was launched in the Lokey School with the goal of making "Social Responsibility" a cornerstone of a business education at Mills.
REFLECTION
Ten years of
progress
Over these past 10 years, we have made tremendous progress in this area, celebrated each year through our Annual CSRB Conference.
Yet over those same 10 years, our students and faculty have become increasingly concerned with issues in our society and world that compel us to think well beyond just good corporate citizenship.
Our students and faculty are now driven to extend the Mission of the Center to one that addresses the systemic economic, social, and educational inequities that continue to destabilize the very communities in which we do business.
Our students have therefore selected our new Center name to reflect our expanded and deepened focus.
We are now the
Center for Transformative Action.
